Stuart is a Registered Psychotherapist [Qualifying] working towards the completion of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Stuart has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Laurentian University.
Stuart has worked in supportive housing, outpatient work, and support in educational settings, including a working relationship with the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board.
Stuart has a wealth of experience working with children and families where traits of autism, ADHD, dysregulation and neurodivergence are present, including parent coaching and supporting and strengthening family cohesion. Stuart has experience in supporting families to access services and, where needed, to gain greater clarity as to the challenges their child may be facing.
Stuart uses a person-centred, integrative approach, that brings together the tools and strategies best suited to his clients’ needs. Stuart’s main focus is to always be an empathetic and supportive counsellor who tailors his sessions and approaches to the needs of the client. Stuart’s background in frontline work means that he has diverse experiences working with individuals and families. Through structured approaches and a focus on the therapeutic alliance, Stuart uses his adaptability and experience to support his clients effectively.
Stuart offers virtual and in-person sessions in downtown Toronto. He prides himself on being an open individual who makes therapeutic connections that help those he works with reach their therapeutic goals.
