Specializations: Individual Counselling with Adults and Youth. Crisis Counselling, Trauma Counselling (Sexual Violence, Intimate Partner Violence), Relationship Therapy.

Interests: LGBTQ, Healing from Trauma, Facilitating a path of personal growth, healing, and transformative inner exploration.

Peta is a Counsellor in Training with ThriveWell Counselling, and is currently completing her her Master in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University. Peta is deeply committed to supporting individuals navigating crises, healing from trauma, and working through complex relationship dynamics. Drawing from a rich foundation of academic and experiential knowledge, and a genuine passion for empowering others, Peta brings a compassionate, person-centred approach to every session.

Believing firmly that each person’s journey to healing is as unique as they are, Peta creates a safe and non-judgmental space, whether online or in-person, integrating a trauma-informed, empathetic approach that respects where you are on your path. By collaborating together, Peta will help you develop strategies tailored to your needs, no matter whether you are dealing with the immediate aftermath of a crisis, working through deep-seated trauma, or seeking healthier relationship dynamics. Peta is here to listen, guide, and empower you.

By fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship, she aims to help you tap into your inner resilience and discover the positive change you’ve been looking for.
