Interests: Anxiety, Depression, Emotional Repression and Anger, Hoarding, Anti-oppressive / Anti-racist, LGBTQ-affirming, transforming experiences of marginalization.
Emmett is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Counsellor in Training with ThriveWell Counselling. Emmett is in the final stages of his Masters of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. His experience includes supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, including clients navigating hoarding and the emotional challenges that can accompany this. Emmett has a background working with diverse populations across community settings, and in particular supporting the mental health, well-being and quality of life for children and their families.
Emmett offers a calm, welcoming space where you can feel present and genuinely accepted. Emmett uses trauma-informed approaches that invite you to explore your goals, needs, and values, while expanding your capacity to respond flexibly to life’s challenges, so you can connect or reconnect with what brings purpose and fulfillment to your life.

His work is informed by a deep appreciation for personal histories and social contexts. Emmett is especially attuned to the nuanced impact of race, culture, and belonging on your mental health and emotional well-being.
