Dana is a Registered Social Worker with more than 20 years experience working with adolescents, youth, adults and families.
Dana works extensively with queer, trans, non-binary and LGBTQ populations, and those with chronic pain and other physical/mental health challenges. Specializing in trauma healing, Dana works to build resilience, tap into strengths, and lessen the challenges that come with anxiety, depression, PTSD/C-PTSD, OCD, hoarding and other mental health challenges.
Dana is a queer, adoptive parent within a transracial family, and lives with chronic pain, and both personal and professional insights into trauma recovery. These intersecting identities have made Dana a passionate advocate for living life with determination, strength and resiliency despite the challenges we’ve faced in the past.
Dana heads the ThriveWell Counselling Hoarding Support team, bringing the most up-to-date, evidence-based approaches to help you, your family and other loved ones affected by hoarding and clutter.
