Aisha Scott is a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student at Yorkville University with over 12 years of experience supporting neurodivergent children, adolescents, and families. Her lived experience as a South Asian woman, single mother, and parent of two neurodivergent children informs her commitment to culturally responsive, person-centred, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed care.
Aisha is passionate about supporting individuals in moving from survival mode toward healing, thriving, and living more fulfilling lives. She brings an understanding of social inequality, marginalization, ableism, and the importance of client agency, advocacy, social justice, and cultural humility to her work. Her approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based, integrated, and person-centred, with an emphasis on meeting clients where they are in their journey.
Aisha is particularly interested in trauma-focused work, including crisis intervention, safety and stabilization, trauma processing, and integration. She is also interested in further developing her experience with clinical screening and assessment tools.
